The Guild of
Professional Toastmasters
The
Guild
of
Professional
Toastmasters
was
established
in
1968,
to
promote
the
very
highest
standards
of
performance
and
conduct
in
Professional
Toastmasters
and
Masters
of
Ceremonies.
Those
Toastmasters
fortunate
enough
to
be
admitted
into
the
Guild
have
all
been
through
a
rigorous
training
programme.
Beginning
with
an
interview
with
the
training
officers
to
assess
suitability,
there
follows
an
intensive
residential
training
course,
a
written
examination
and
practical
examinations
at
a
minimum
of
two
functions.
These
are
actual
functions
where
the
toastmaster
has
been
engaged
and
is
observed
by
Fellows
of
the
Guild.
It
is
only
after
successfully
completing
this
process
that
toastmasters
are
eligible
to
apply
for
fellowship.
